The typhoon that struck Tacloban City was very tragic. Many homes, schools and communities were destroyed. Material things can be replaced but it’s truly heartbreaking to see a natural disaster just come and wipe out everything. I couldn’t stop thinking about it and I knew I had to do something. So I teamed up with the Philippine Disaster Recovery Foundation and helpPH to encourage people to raise money to help survivors. While I was there, we passed out mobile phones, lamps and other necessities. I made a promise to all the residents to help build schools and I’m sticking to it!
