So now that y’all got a lil’ taste of “Be”, I just wanted to share the whole experience of how we made the magic happen!
First, I just want to thank all my fans for your support, I couldn’t have done it without y’all. It took me awhile to get to where I am in my solo career and I’m just mad excited to finally be able to share it everybody. (Yes, AP3 is coming soon! Stay tuned!)
The video was a lot of fun to work on. I mean, when you get to be a soldier of war, Mr. 007, and a DJ lacing the beats to a packed house, you can’t really complain much right? Plus, it was a blast working with Honey Cocaine and Jessica Reynoso. The whole thing was shot in so many different locations around the world – NJ, NYC, Brooklyn, Baku and the Philippines. #TeamApl went from the mansions of north New Jerz to the streets of Greenpoint BK to penthouse livin’ in Manhattan. A couple flights later, we were navigating the jungles of the Philippines and livin’ it up in Baku, Azerbaijan. Of course, it wouldn’t “Be” me if I wasn’t rocking the crowd in a rooftop club – in this case, PH-D lounge at The Dream Downtown in NYC.
You’ll see how we did a lil’ bit of everything in the video below but before that, I just want to give a special shout to the dopest twins around Lulu & Lala from Miami’s Hits 97.3FM, my amazing stylist Anna Kim, Jasmin Rainieri who hooked me up with hair and makeup, and the whole production team for shooting and producing the whole video.
